Christopher Joseph Isaak, better known as Chris Isaak, was born in California on June 26, 1956. His most famous song consists of only three guitar chords: “Wicked Game” was used in 1991 for the movie "Wild at Heart", directed by David Lynch, starring a very young Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern. It also contains one of the famous Chris Isaak chords progression: Bm, A, and E.

Chris Isaak's style

Chris Isaak’s style could be described as bluesy with hints of rock, rockabilly and surfrock. With his velvet crooner voice and darkish chords accompanied by the band Silvertone, Isaak released his first record in 1985, named after the band. The themes for Isaak’s songs are mainly heartbreak, love and loss. One of his most successful records, Forever Blue from 1995, contains the two evergreen hits “Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing” and “Somebody’s Crying” which you will never forget after hearing.

Not just a musician

This creative soul isn’t just famous for his great songs; Chris Isaak is also an actor. He and his Silvertone bandmates had their own show from 2001 until 2004 — Chris Isaak Show. Here the musicians showed all the weird and absurd adventures that happen off stage. Fun facts: if you’re a Keanu Reeves or Bridget Fonda fan, you’ll definitely love the 1993 Bernardo Bertolicci motion picture "The Little Buddha." In this classic, Chris Isaak plays alongside Reeves and Fonda. He also stars in David Lynch’s "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" and the ice-cold thriller featuring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins "The Silence of The Lambs." Well, what can we say?
