Rocktober, the month in which the power chords are starting to fall from the trees, and the colors of the scales are slowly turning a cosy yellow, red, and brown. In honor of Rocktober we asked you who are the living rock legends of our time. Hundreds of votes have been counted and one name has indisputably come out on top.

Like in any competition there can be only one winner. The music industry is tough and unforgiving, and above all it’s a business where you can’t always get what you want. With more than twenty percent of the votes there is an absolute winner.

The official results are as follows: Foo Fighters at third place, Bruce Springsteen takes the silver at the second place, and the clear-cut winners of the day are… The Rolling Stones.

They’ve been around since 1962, so they’ve been releasing music for 56 years (!), one rock ‘n’ roll hit after the other. Living legends Mick Jagger (singer), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ron Wood (bass/guitar) have past their retirement age, but they still throw mayor shows and rock like they’re teenagers.

To honor the winners of the Rocktober Rock Star competition, we have selected a few legendary songs out of the rich oeuvre of the Rolling Stones. Pump up your volume, set your distortion to max, and imagine yourself next to Keith Richards. Happy Rocktober!
