The Black Friday channel

Have you recovered from your Thanksgiving turkey? Perfect, because Black Friday awaits. And you know what that means, right? Yes yes, it’s time for some great offers that come with  our “Black Friday channel.” Read on to get a taste of what’s awaiting you there.

We created a channel to accompany your Black Friday experience with songs that all have the word “black” in the title. How many tracks are there with this specific word in their title? Well, as much as there was stuffing in that turkey. So, a lot. And the genres vary from pop to metal. We’ve highlighted five tracks.

Black – Pearl Jam

Let’s start with the track that carries the keyword of our channel. “Black” by the grunge band Pearl Jam is a melancholic nineties ballad written in the lowest possible chord on the guitar: the Em. This chord gives the song body and soul. Use it to practice your basics and a little extra.

Paint it Black – The Rolling Stones

You can’t ignore it: “Paint it Black” by The Rolling Stones. This classic written in Fm has survived the test of time. Therefore, it’s a track that fits in every jam. It’s also a song that challenges you to practice more difficult chords like Ab, and Eb.

Black Swan – Thom Yorke

A “Black Swan” is the name for an unexpected statistical outlier. Throw this track into a jam and nobody will see it coming. The song by Radiohead singer Thom Yorke written in Dm is most definitely no outlier, on the contrary, it’s a classic example of a basic pop progression. Try it out for yourself.

Blackhole – Beck

Now, we could, of course, elaborate on obvious tracks like “Back in Black,” “Fade to Black” and “Blackbird” but for that, you can check our “Black Friday channel”. So, if we’re not discussing those songs, what are we going to discuss? Well, do you remember Beck?

The guy with the nineties hit single “Loser” also wrote a nice song with the word “black” in it. One that reminds you of the darkest matter in the universe. Yes, a “Blackhole” Written in F# this track is a nice addition to your setlist.

Black Friday – Steely Dan

And of course, we can’t close this list without “Black Friday” The title of this track might remind you of the collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole or the Nicki Minaj Diss by Lil’ Kim.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Again, it’s a classic. This time by none other than Steely Dan. Written in E this song is a journey through all the basic chords. Perfect for every beginner. Enjoy and happy jamming!
