We don’t really like to toot our own horn, but beep beep. With pride we like to inform you that we are nominated for a Northern Pop Gala award in the category “Best innovation.” This is part of one of the biggest showcase music festivals in Europe, Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS). It’s already an honor to be nominated, and now let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the win.
Eurosonic
Eurosonic is one of the most important platforms for new music in Europe. It served as a stepping stone for many now-familiar pop acts. Bands like Franz Ferdinand, Dua Lipa, Christine and the Queens, and James Blake to name a few. For a few dark days in January the famously unfamiliar student town of Groningen in the Netherlands transforms into a musical metropole. Industry, bands, and fans collide to haggle over contracts and enjoy music.
Side programme
Music showcasing is Eurosonic’s core activity, but there is also an extensive side programme, where award shows, presentations, and other events are on offer. Last year Chordify organized a panel discussion on artificial intelligence and music during the Eurosonic Conference, and we hosted our own Music & Tech Hideout. Moreover, we have a special place in our hearts for Eurosonic, because Chordify was officially launched during the 2013 edition of the festival.
