This year, we played along with more songs than ever before. To give you a rough idea of how musical 2017 was: the amount of jam sessions reached 73 million, and we’ve collectively played along with 5.65 million hours worth of music on Chordify. 2017 was a lot of things, but looking at these numbers above, it’s absolutely a very musical year. Below you’ll find a top 5 list—organized by continent¬— of which artists that got played along with the most. Aside from the obvious big hits that got released in 2017 (Daniel Caesar even made the list twice), you’ll find some surprising timeless gems from Pink Floyd, Silverchair, and Mariah Carey. Notable is the appearance of Linkin Park in the South America top 5 list; the band lost their lead singer Chester Bennington this year. In 2018 Chordify turns 5 and we’re going to celebrate this!
