Just weeks since the launch of our chord edits function, we are releasing a new and improved MIDI download feature. From the early beginnings of Chordify, you have been able to download MIDI files of the chords that have been extracted from your favourite songs. But from now on, downloads will include a second MIDI file where the chords will match the exact timings of the original audio recording. This innovation allows everyone from professional electronic dance music (EDM) producers to do it yourself (DIY) home recording artists to listen to the chords and then use them to create their own audio files or customize scores. midinew MIDI and Chordify MIDI is the industry standard for controlling digital instruments, and it can also be used to create and edit sheet music. As scoring and music production require different software to attain the best results, all MIDI downloads will now comprise of two different files:

  1. A quantized version (which already existed) that is great for creating sheet music using any score writing software package (Finale, Sibelius, Musescore, etc.).
  2. A brand new time aligned version that will match the exact timings of the original audio recording. This is ideal for importing into a digital audio workstation (Cubase, Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.) in order to add additional harmonies and you can also use this version to create amazing basslines with the Chordify bassline track.

MIDI downloads are part of the Chordify Premium package. Other users can download these files for a small fee. Start using our Chordify MIDI files and read our manual
