On the other hand we have some modern classics like “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”  by John Lennon and Yoko Ono – also one of our Songs Explained. It was released on his 1971 album, “Imagine”. The song is a carol that speaks about the end of the Vietnam War and the hope for peace on Earth. “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” is a powerful reminder of the importance of peace and unity during the holiday season.

Of course, no playlist would be complete without Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” This modern classic has become a fan favorite over the years, and its infectious beat and catchy chorus are sure to get you into the holiday spirit.
