May has come and gone, which means we are back with another monthly trip around the globe! We’re finding it hard to believe that it’s already June again. It feels like it was just yesterday when the world was obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License”, which was released all the way back in January!
Speaking of the young Ms. Rodrigo, she released her debut album “Sour” last month. It’s no no surprise then that she’s enjoying some renewed popularity in North America, with the aforementioned “Drivers License” and “Happier”.
Elsewhere in Europe, we’re still feeling the Eurovision Song Contest! Måneskin, Italian rock band and the winners of this year’s edition, have found their way into the Top 5 with not just one, but two entries. Other than that, Europe is sticking to familiar voices, staying loyal to “Shallow”, “Passenger” and “Losing My Religion”.
In Africa, Billie Eilish and Bishop Briggs are sharing the Top 5 with songs of praise, while South America’s list features a surprise appearance by The Beatles.
