2022’s first rodeo saw hardly any new entries in the Top 10. Instead we have many repeat offenders, some who have defended their spot in the list for years now. So, as we head towards spring, through the shortest month of the year, let’s take a look at the songs that ruled Jamuary.
Disney’s newest movie “Encanto” has been the talk of the town since the end of last year! The musical comedy has received much acclaim, with critics and audiences often singling out its musical numbers. Written and sung by the incomparable Lin-Manuel Miranda, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” topped the charts in the US, making it the only Disney song of the 21st century to do so.
But “Encanto’s” Bruno is not the only Bruno in Jamuary’s Top 10. Bruno Mars, together with Anderson Paak, has re-entered the list with their smash-hit “Leave The Door Open”. Turns out to be a real nice jam banger. Have you already tried playing along? Well, maybe you should.
Another leftover from last year is Taylor Swift’s 10-Minute Version of “All Too Well”. To everyone out there who’s jamming along with this devastating masterpiece: Are you alright?
Elsewhere, heartbreak takes on a different form with Olivia Rodrigo’s spiteful “Good 4 U”, which nicely balances out the sad sounds of Ms. Swift.
Immortal Chordify all-stars like “Shallow”, “Nothing Else Matters” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” are all back yet again. At this point, we have said everything there is to be said about these songs — they’re in these lists for a reason every month. Happy jamming!
