Can we get a show of hands, who’s ready for spring? We sure as hell are. As we’re celebrating the imminent end of winter with our Make More Music March. So let’s take a minute to look at the songs that kept people jamming during the shortest month of the year.
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have an iron grip on Europe’s Top 5 that simply can’t be broken for a significant amount of time. While there have been months back in autumn where “Shallow” didn’t make the list, it seems like it was never far from peoples’ minds; it has once again claimed the top position. This must be a record by now.
Altogether, Europe seems to be happy to linger on familiar tunes: From Ed Sheeran to Metallica, there is nothing surprising about February’s entries.
The same can be said about North America, where Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. have reclaimed the top spot, while last month’s dominator “Driver’s License” sits comfortably at number two. A new addition is Nathaniel Rateliff’s “Redemption”, which makes an appearance in the Apple+ film Palmer, starring Justin Timberlake.
Elsewhere, Dean Lewis and the Eagles continue to be popular in Oceania, while Africa’s Top 5 consists of the usual mix of worship songs and some upbeat tracks.
