The finish line of 2020 is almost in sight, with people slowly but surely starting to gear up for the holidays. Before we turn our attention to turkey carving tutorials and Christmas sweaters, let’s take a look back at the songs that ruled the world during the most Rock ’n’ Roll month of the year: Rocktober.
In Europe, people are still “living it up at the Hotel California,” with the Eagles defending their top spot. October also saw the return of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” one of the most played songs of all time here at Chordify, as well as an appearance by Leonard Cohen’s magnum opus “Hallelujah.”
North America still seems to be obsessed with the Netflix show “Julie and the Phantoms” and its soundtrack, which claims two spots in the Top 5. Clairo’s moody hit “Sofia” is certainly a surprise addition, something that cannot be said about the return of “Best Part” to the top position. Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. are a staple in North America’s Top 5.
In Asia, Dua Lipa is the talk of the town, with two of her songs finding their way into October’s Top 5, while Oceania has been jamming along with Stan Walker and the aforementioned “Julie and the Phantoms.”
