Dance in your kitchen with a bottle of wine

Those were the days… But before we drown in nostalgia, let’s focus on the musical highlights that will come our way through the safety of homely soundwaves. And follow Dave Grohl’s advice on how to get through this pandemic: “I’d say dance in your kitchen with a bottle of wine. I think that’s what you’re supposed to do right now.” Enjoy!

Foo Fighters – “Medicine at Midnight”

Dave Grohl and his compadres released a bunch of brand new songs on their 10th (!) album to date. “Medicine at Midnight” is catchy, heavy and perfect for stress release of all sorts.

The single Shame Shame was released in November 2020 and the full Foo Fighters album was released on February 5th. Get your guitar out, learn the lyrics and you’re right on track to find your inner Dave Grohl.

Lana Del Rey – “Chemtrails Over The Country Club”

Lana Del Rey will release her 6th album “Chemtrails Over The Country Club” on March 19th. For the new album, she teamed up with producer songwriting partner Jack Michael Antonoff again, who also produced her 2019 album “Norman Fucking Rockwell”. Del Rey explains: “Jack is great for so many reasons. Mostly because he’s just so darn funny and then also because sometimes he will be noodling around on the piano and comes up with some extremely insane riff and I would be like… does that belong to anybody? He would say ‘No’. Which happened about twice on this album.”

The title track definitely adds to the retro-dream Lana Del Rey is known for, mixing in some werewolves and nightmare vibes in the first music video to accompany the album. Check out all the chords for Chemtrails Over The Country Club

Taylor Swift – “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”

In a copyright battle about master recordings, Taylor Swift took matters into her own hands and released a new version of her old signature song “Love Story” on February 12th. The re-recorded song is part of a huge project in which Swift re-records her first six albums to regain control of her work. “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” will be released on April 9th and apart from being just new versions of old songs, it also will include six previously unreleased songs that Swift wrote when she was a teenager.
