Just like that, it’s August! Let’s hope the weather holds out for more jamming sessions. Sertaneja serenading from Luan Pereira
Luan Pereira enters the top 10 for the first time with the track Moletom, featuring Gustavo Mioto. This acoustic song is in the style of música sertaneja, a genre which had its origins in the countryside of Brazil in the 1920s. It has continued to develop and was the most popular music style in 2000s and 2010s Brazil, now in its ‘fourth era’.
Moletom is an emotive song, similar to a ballad – the lyrics speak of a relationship which has broken down, and the couple are heading their separate ways.

More ballad vibes from Natanael Cano
Songs with themes of romance and relationships are seemingly very popular at the moment.
Natanael Cano’s track Mi Bello Angel adds to the ballad vibes in the top 10 songs of July. The track is quite upbeat, and in the lyrics he speaks of his partner and how his life is complete with their love.
So if you’re enjoying this theme, this track is definitely worth checking out – it’s a bit more optimistic than the track above!
This entry also continues the trend of Mexican artists appearing in the top 10 songs of the month. This is the first time Natanael has appeared in the list.
Mi Bello Angel features a nice chord progression with some interesting choices, and because of the upbeat tempo this is a good track for beginners to play and get familiar with moving between positions.
Aside from these tracks, as we mentioned earlier, June’s number 8 entry Hermoso Momento by Kairo Worship has claimed the number 1 spot for the top 10 songs of July.
