One of the biggest and coolest festivals in the world is happening, and we are going! SXSW (short for South by Southwest) is not only the place to be for artists, but also for music businesses like ourselves. So yeah, when The New Dutch Wave organization planned a trip across the Atlantic, we just had to join.
Let’s introduce the ‘we’ that will be representing Chordify at SXSW this year. I hear you thinking “Wait, isn’t everybody going?” Well, for some strange reason not all Chordify employees got an SXSW invite. (No hard feelings here, but let’s discuss it in our next meeting). The Chordify delegates in Austin, Texas are Growth Strategist Wouter Hemel and Founder and Business Developer Dion ten Heggeler. Both are very excited to attend the festival.
“I have never been to SXSW before, so I’m thrilled! I’m mostly looking forward to meeting other music businesses like LyricFind, for example”, says Wouter Hemel (Growth Strategist).
Chordify founder and Business Developer Dion is also very excited.“This is my second visit to SXSW, and next to meeting like-minded people from the music industry, I’m dying to see bands like Yard Act and Wet Leg perform live.”

Other options on our wishlist are Golden Dawn Arkestra on the Outdoor stage (we go way back, check the video below), Beck, Midlake and many others. But of course, we are also there to discover tons of new acts. Because at the end of the day, it’s the music that is the most important part of what we do here at Chordify.
